Greg Allen is an up-and-coming Jazz Guitarist and Educator based in Chicago, IL. Starting his career in 2023, Greg has performed at numerous venues and festivals across the midwest, including the Jazz Showcase, Le Piano, Phyllis's Musical Inn, Merriman's Playhouse, Rojo Gusano, the Taste of Lincoln Avenue, the South Haven Jazz Festival, and the Epiphany Center for the Arts. He has shared the stage with many talented musicians including Reggie Thomas, Rodrigo Villanueva, Tony do Rosario, Todd Howell, Tom Lowrey, Linard Stroud, and even world renowned bassist and composer John Clayton.

A recipient of the Ron Modell Jazz Scholarship, Greg received his Bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University. During his time at NIU he held the guitar chair in the NIU Jazz Ensemble and led the NIU Jazz Guitar Ensemble.

Outside of performing, Greg also serves as the general music teacher and band director at St. Thomas More Grade School and St. Edward Central High School in Elgin, IL. His unwavering commitment to his students and the study of guitar continues to guide him as he develops his career in the Chicago music scene.
