Greg Allen Comonal is an up-and-coming Jazz Guitarist and Educator based in Detroit, MI. Starting his career in 2023, Greg has performed at numerous venues and festivals across the midwest, including the Jazz Showcase, Le Piano, Phyllis's Musical Inn, Merriman's Playhouse, Rojo Gusano, Fitzgeralds, the South Haven Jazz Festival, and the Epiphany Center for the Arts. He has shared the stage with many talented musicians including Reggie Thomas, Rodrigo Villanueva, Tony do Rosario, Todd Howell, Tom Lowrey, the Shout Section Big Band, and the Lake Effect Jazz Big Band.

Greg is currently pursuing his M.M. in jazz performance at Wayne State University, where he studies with Detroit Jazz lumineers Chuck Newsome, Chris Collins, and Vincent Chandler. He also holds a B.M. in jazz performance from Northern Illinois University, where he studied with legendary guitarist Bobby Broom.

Greg is also an avid educator in the Chicago Metropolitan area, holding a consistent private lesson studio as well as teaching piano, guitar, and jazz band at St. Edward Central High School and St. Thomas More Grade School. His unwavering commitment to his students and the study of guitar continues to guide him as he develops his ever evolving career as a performer and educator.
